I understand your struggle because I’ve been where you are. For over 20 years, I was trapped in the cycle of binge eating. It felt like prison. I was driven to eat even when I wasn't hungry and couldn't stop food cravings even when I was full. I was constantly hunted by guilt and shame. I tried everything - diets, fasting, exercise, hypnotherapy, pills - but nothing brought lasting success. I remember how scared I was, scared I would never be able to escape.
But I did escape, I actually powered through it. And it was not through vague theories or clichéd fitness advice, but by utilising psychology and brain science.
You see, there is a side to your problem that the common advice doesn't talk about. I'm not sure why that is but I remember it angered me when I discovered it. It angered me because, although it might not be common knowledge, it is also not a secret. Binge-eating experts and professionals should know it.
The decades of my struggle could have been avoided if those experts were willing to look beyond the repeatedly passed-on solutions that didn't work. Because the advice I was given was ineffective, I got blamed for lack of control and was often judged as lazy or weak. And if I wasn't blamed by others, my internal self-critic did a great job at filling in. I spent years feeling guilty and ashamed of myself. And that was unnecessary and unfair.
Many experts within the binge eating field are helpless and when they see you going back to bingeing, no matter how hard you've tried, they place the responsibility on you. The responsibility is surely yours, but if you are still looking for a way out, it means you have not been given the right information or the right advice. But this is like everything else you've achieved in life, it seemed hard or impossible until you found the way. Then, suddenly, that impossible goal seems like the most natural part of you.
Although it might be hard to believe, you can have a binge-free life and it's not as difficult as you might think. It actually feels like a relief and often euphoria. That was my experience and my clients report the same.
The secret is in the right knowledge, which is not commonly talked about, and the right technique, which is not commonly taught.
The technique I will teach you will weaken the part of your brain responsible for food cravings and strengthen the part that allows you to easily say ‘no’. Your food cravings will become irrelevant and dismissing them will become easy. When you don't have cravings, you can eat your desired way - you decide.
When I discovered that technique, the change was immediate for me. For the first time in my life, I was able to gain control over my eating habits without constant struggle or relying on willpower.
In my five years of teaching this concept to clients, only two didn't see significant results. This wasn't due to the programme's effectiveness but their personal circumstances and inability to focus at the time. All other clients report changes right from the first session and from week two, they are confident those changes are different to what they've experienced before. Many clients stop binge eating completely at that stage, while others need a few weeks, however, all clients achieve control over their binges and binge cravings.
